Bubble
During the height of the restrictions during the pandemic, we started offering a contactless service. Our guests enjoyed this privacy as well as the convenience of late check ins, so we’ve continued to do this. We are, of course, available to guests as you need us.
We manage only a limited number of properties, so cannot guarantee “your” bubble. Please confirm this when you book.
The Container House
which is Easy for Dayz
This is a two-bedroomed house comfortably sleeps four people in two bedrooms (one en suite and the other with a double bunk) and with a second, separate bathroom.
A hybrid build of a clad, re-purposed shipping container which conforms to the aesthetic requirements of the best-preserved Victorian village in the Western Cape.

Iona @ Skye
Iona @ Skye is an original labourers’ cottage, built in the 19th century. The cottage has a separate bedroom and an open plan living area. The cottage opens on to the street front and behind it is a private and secluded courtyard. Somewhat updated to retain its historic feel, guests will have everything they need for a stay in McGregor village.

Stonehill cottage
Stonehill Cottage is the beautifully apportioned annex to Stonehill House and offers self-catering accommodation for two people sharing. The bedroom is separate from the open plan living area and kitchen. It has a private and secluded courtyard and offers guests everything they need for a romantic stay in McGregor village.

Bokmakierie cottage
Bokmakierie is a pet friendly self-catering cottage that sleeps a maximum of three. It has a kitchenette, small enclosed garden and patio.

The House on the Hill is a McGregor original. It comfortably sleeps a family of 4, and has a fully equipped kitchen and shared bathroom. Enjoy an afternoon braai after an afternoon next to the pool.

The Rietdakkie is a quaint, cosy and intimate thatched-roof cottage. It charms both international and local visitors who often call it “The Honeymoon Cottage’.

This beautifully appointed cottage is fully equipped and accommodates four in two double rooms, one en suite. There are two stoeps, one with a braai and perfect for alfresco dining.

On the north and away from the village, this restored labourer’s cottage sleeps a family of four in two bedrooms. Inside and outside braai facilities make it perfect for that digital detox getaway with the kids.

Best suited to the single or more mature traveller, the Little Room in The Sandbag House, is private, has its own entrance, adjacent private bathroom and access to an outside shower.

Fossil Hills
The Fossil Hills portfolio offers a range of farm-based options away from the village. Units accommodate from two to up to as many as twenty. All have hot tubs, braai facilities and access to biking and kayaking on the farm dam.
